The Large Blue Butterfly was re-introduced into Cornwall with 12 adults and 300 larvae during 2000 at a site on the North Cornish coast. This picture by Lee Slaughter was the second sighting of this butterfly since its demise in Cornwall during 1973. The photograph was taken in late June 2001.
