The Pearl-bordered Fritillary was once quite widely distributed in Cornwall but is now restricted to a few sites in central and northern parts with a few good colonies on the western edge of Bodmin Moor. A fairly recent discovery was at Bunny’s Hill near Cardinham in central Cornwall and there is a good colony at Millendreath, near Looe. This photo was taken at Tuckingmill, St. Breward in May 1996 © L. Slaughter.
